Organized by Macau Management Association, "Bank of China Trophy" Global Management Challenge Regional Final Prize Presentation Dinner 2022 was successfully held on March 3. After 2 months of intense competition, the Regional Final had been taken place successfully earlier. Finally, the team “LovelyCat” and Gabby from the Macau University of Science and Technology was crowned the Champion and 1^st Runners-up, while the teams aduiduiTeam from the City University of Macau and Macau University of Science and Technology achieved the 2^nd Runner-up.

 

The Prize Presentation Dinner was held at 8/F Grand Ballroom, StarWorld Hotel. Mr. Lau Veng Seng, Council Chairman of MMA, said in his speech, “MMA has been cultivating countless young talents to the global stage through GMC since the nineties, and they demonstrated to the world the professional management skills of Macao elites by competing with students and managers from more than 30 countries and regions. As the organizer of GMC Macao, we hope young managers could foster and develop their systems thinking, decision making, flexibility and managerial skills to reach the international benchmark.”

 

There are total of 167 teams participated in the Global Management Challenge 2022 Macao Region, including 158 student teams and 9 corporate and mixed teams. They are mostly from universities and institutions as well as business elites from financial institutions and public sectors. The winning team of the Regional Final will represent Macao to participate in the International Final, which will be held in Angola in November this year. They will compete for the world champion with other countries and regions in the International Final.

 

The representative of the winning team said that they are very surprised to the result. It was really a thrilling competition that they almost being overtaken by the competitor. They were so excited by the victory.
